FamilyShare - a website that allows families to share stories, images, videos, and audio recordings with other family members.
Letter from Mom & Dad - a website that allows parents to share their estate plan with people they trust who can collaborate to manage the estate together.
Trusted Reviews - a website and mobile app that allows users to review places to eat, to stay, and to visit and share those with others within their 'trusted' circle.
Travel Companion - a website and mobile app where users can plan trips, including activities that make up an itinerary, keep a journal, and build a wish list of things they would like to do on each trip.
Recipe Minder - a website and mobile app that helps people find recipes, organize them, and then create menus and grocery lists from those recipes. You can scan PDF files with recipes from the Internet, or photos from books and recipe cards from your own library.
All of these projects focus on broad functionality and ease of use. Most use AI to provide functionality that would be difficult or impossible for me to implement on my own. For example, in Travel Companion, you can search for something to do in a place (Florence), providing a few criteria (great pizza places), and the AI will find places that you can then add to your wish list. Trusted Reviews lets you enter minimal information about a place, then asks the AI to fill in all relevant contact and summary details. Recipe Minder lets you scan a photo from a book, import it, and then it uses AI to break out the category ('Dinner') and tags ('pork, pasta'), the servings, the author, the ingredients, and preparation steps, and makes it available for you to save and customize.
